Brass Balagan is a street band from Vermont.

Born out of the Occupy Wall Street movement, The Brass Balagan was organized in 2010 as an affinity group to support community organized protests with well-played street music. We have continued to demand the immediate elimination of all evil ever since, wherever we play. Our mission is to play great music and support communities who seek social, economic and environmental justice and liberation. As the Yiddish in our name suggests, we bring a spirit of chaotic irreverence to our performances. We see spirited music and street theater as necessary instruments for solidarity and systemic change. In dark and fearful times such as these, our artistic contributions are needed now more than ever.
